Project Engineer

Salary: $96,500 - $114,500/year

Responsibilities:
- Oversee complex civil infrastructure projects under direction of Project Manager, ensuring strict compliance with engineering specifications/contract requirements/safety protocols
- Manage project timelines & conduct schedule analysis focusing on creating/reviewing/maintaining detailed project plans
- Perform critical path analyses to identify risk areas/key milestones/time-impact delays, & implement mitigation strategies to minimize schedule disruptions
- Develop accurate/comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing engineering blueprints/site conditions/design plans
- Conduct value engineering assessments to ensure project costs align with budgetary constraints while maintaining high standards of quality
- Collaborate with contractors/architects/engineers/stakeholders to facilitate seamless project delivery & prepare project progress reports/dashboards
- Conduct field inspections to monitor construction progress & ensure compliance with NYCHA/NYCDDC standards
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 2-year experience working on civil infrastructural projects
- Proven expertise in conducting value engineering & project scheduling
- Sound knowledge of engineering specifications/contract documents/safety standards
- Strong skills in structural analysis, cost estimation, blueprints & design drawings reading/interpretation
- Proficient in ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, advanced Excel & Power BI
