Construction Community Liaison (CCL) - Part Time

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Community Construction Liaison (CCL) to support us for the construction contract in Staten Island. This is a part-time position (up to 20 hours per week).

Estimated Annual Compensation:
$90,000 - $104,000

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Community Construction Liaison (CCL) to support us for the construction contract in Staten Island. This is a part-time position (up to 20 hours per week).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the distribution and posting of notices and flyers
- Creating and updating a calendar of important community events
- Maintaining field office records regarding community interaction
- Participating in an orientation meeting
- Performing a general review of the plans and specifications for the construction contract
- Preparing and distributing a monthly Construction Newsletter
- Conducting a door-to-door survey of each commercial/residential property within the area of influence of water service interruption
- Establishing a Community Notification Network
- Establishing an email notification system for construction updates
- A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, construction management, urban planning, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in public relations, community outreach, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience working in or with the construction industry or government projects, is preferred but not required.
- Preference for candidates that have worked as CCL for government construction projects in Staten Island
- Excellent written and verbal communication The general ability to understand construction plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, public speaking, and possibly some technical knowledge related to construction.
- Mandatory Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction and public projects.
- A valid driver’s license.
